US economic indicators - Existing home sales (Sep): stabilization on a very low level by BHF−Bank

Thus the index reached its highest level since June 2007, which indicates that home sales could soon be bottoming out, and existing home sales could have risen to 5.05m in September. However, partly due to the large amount of foreclosures, the stock of existing homes for sale remains elevated. We therefore expect median home prices to continue their downward trend.
